Experience

Design LeadJul 2025 - Present · Bangalore, India
Equicomtech
Crypto trading platform. Built the design function here from zero to four. Product specifics are under NDA, so scope and process are shown here.
  • Built the design function from zero to four: hired all 3 designers from roughly 1,800 applications, and grew each into self-directed work.
  • Shipped the crypto trading MVP: Spot and Futures terminal with order book, charts, leverage, and PnL.
  • Built AgentUX, the context layer the team designs against: shipped screens and specs served into Claude and Codex in the codebase, with a search API for people and AI agents over REST and MCP.
  • Led the internal Graphics App for dev handoff. I scoped it and set up the backend with Supabase, the team shipped the UI.
  • Prototype in code. Trade Lab and an order simulator test flows before they reach production.

Dear Hiring Manager,

I design in code. Research and referencing run through AgentUX, an MCP server I built, so I start from real product screens instead of memory. I prototype in HTML and React with Claude and Codex in the loop, keep the history on GitHub as branches, and track the work on Linear. Figma comes out when an asset needs adjusting, not before. It is how I learned exchange mechanics too. I wrote an order matching engine in Rust covering limit, market, stop, TP/SL, and liquidation, so order types, leverage, and liquidation are things I have implemented, not just drawn.

I joined Equicomtech as its third employee and built the design function from zero to four, hiring all three designers myself. We shipped the crypto trading MVP: Spot and Futures terminal with order book, charts, leverage, and PnL. What I am most pleased with is not the shipping, it is that all three now run self-directed work — a tool that replaced our Drive handoff, the reference capture our specs cite, and liquidation flows proposed without being asked for. I also built AgentUX, the context layer the team designs against, and Trade Lab, where I pressure test terminal flows before they reach production.

My range is the part a resume flattens: Web3 (Crypto), B2B SaaS, and healthcare, and design that ends in shipped code rather than a handoff. What I am looking for is narrower. A stable mid-stage company, and an engagement long enough that the team, the design system, and the product compound instead of resetting.
